Extreme Memory Profile. Pre-tested RAM overclock settings.

Detailed explanation

Extreme Memory Profile is Intel's format for storing tested performance timings and voltage settings on a memory module. A motherboard can apply the profile from its UEFI interface instead of requiring every value to be entered manually. Without it, memory normally runs at a conservative JEDEC standard, which may be slower than the speed printed on the kit. Enabling a profile is still memory overclocking, because the final stability depends on the processor's memory controller, motherboard layout, and number of modules. If the PC fails to boot, reboots, or reports memory errors, return to defaults or choose a lower profile. Test thoroughly before trusting the system with important work.
