Changelog

This record summarizes reader-facing changes to DriverUpdateMax. We use it to show how the reference has grown, when major content areas were introduced, and what standards apply to our guides. It is not a list of every wording correction or routine maintenance update; those changes are folded into the relevant page after editorial review.

How to read this record

Version entries describe substantial releases that affect how visitors use the site or understand our coverage. For example, a new troubleshooting collection, a clearer source policy, or an accessibility improvement belongs here. Individual driver packages are never hosted or distributed by DriverUpdateMax, so this page does not track vendor driver release numbers.

Version 2.0 (Phase B)

March 2024

  • Expanded driver database to 30+ comprehensive guides across all hardware families.
  • Added 13 detailed Error Code resolution pages.
  • Launched the Glossary with 60+ terms and dynamic auto-linking.
  • Added Trust & Legal framework with GDPR requests and DO NOT SELL policies.

Version 1.0 (Phase A)

February 2024

  • Initial launch of DriverUpdateMax directory.
  • Implemented the "We never host driver files" strict outbound linking architecture.

What we continue to maintain

Between larger releases, the editorial team checks official source links, clarifies ambiguous Windows steps, and reviews reader reports. We also revisit articles when Microsoft changes a common interface or when a device-maker moves its support documentation. If an update affects how a reader should approach a problem, we revise the guide itself and add an appropriate note to this history when the change is broad enough to matter across the site.

For the principles behind those decisions, see our editorial policy and testing and review process. To flag a page that appears outdated, use the broken-link and correction report form.
