Extensible Host Controller Interface. Standard for USB 3.0+ controllers.

Detailed explanation

The extensible Host Controller Interface is the standard Windows uses to manage USB 3.x host controllers and, on modern systems, many USB 2 devices through the same controller. It appears under Universal Serial Bus controllers in Device Manager, usually with a Microsoft or chipset-provider name. If several ports disconnect together, the host controller or its power state is more relevant than any one peripheral. Install current chipset support for the exact PC, reboot, and test without an unpowered hub. Disabling a controller removes every device attached through it, including keyboards or storage, so save work first and avoid uninstalling all USB controller entries at once unless you have another way to control the machine.
