Plain-language policy
This page explains how the policy applies to DriverUpdateMax, an independent educational website that does not host driver files, create user accounts, or process payments.
Server Logs
Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) are kept for operational security and rotated on a rolling basis, typically within 90 days.
Analytics Data
Consented analytics is stored only in aggregate form — page counts and popular guides — with no personal profiles. Aggregated statistics contain no personally identifiable information and may be kept indefinitely.
Editorial Messages
Email sent to the editorial team is retained while we work on the request and for a reasonable period afterwards when it forms part of a correction, permission, security, or privacy record. Routine messages are removed when they are no longer useful.
Cookie Choices
Your cookie-consent choice is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. Clearing site data in your browser removes it immediately.
Deletion Requests
Email [email protected] to request deletion of personal data we can reasonably connect to you. We will explain the outcome within the period required by applicable law, subject to records we must keep for security, legal, or publication-integrity reasons.
